It's been a while since i blogged on xanga... SO unfamiliar!

What can i say... holidays haven't been like the usual holidays... work IS vexing at times and not being able to spend as much time as i would like with the girls is depressing at a point.

But when we DO get together... CRAZY which is good because crazy = normal.

I did discover something new this hols. Ice-skating! (took me quite some time to try it out rite... and i LOVE it!) Except when the last time i went i fell once. Badly.

To put it in short, it was caused by this ice-hockey player who thought it would be entertaining to stop right in front of me so that i could fall in order to avoid him

I hurt my right arm, my left shoulder and neck, and bumped my head! So pain...

Other than that, skating is damn fun tho!

Another year... another xmas. Why is it that time passes so quickly?? I'm definitely still living in the past, mayb about last year lol. i wish i could catch up a lil.

Phew, this year has definitely been a whirlwind. I've done a lot of things, went places and met loads of awesome people. If only i could record every single moment of the things that happened...

To my precious friends, thanks so much for standing by me all this while. We will walk different paths and already next year we will go to different institutions but we'll still be BESTEST FRIENDS!!! You all mean the world to me. Lurve u guys so much!

To all the new friends that i met this year- from Cathay, BRATs etc- thanks for being part of my most memorable year yet! It's so great that we remain friends eventhough we're kilometres (or oceans) apart.

I wonder if live gets more exciting the older it gets. I wonder what next year has in store for me.

In the mean time, I need to wrap up this year (and last year actually) properly first.

P.S. all i want for christmas is... a secret! hahaha...don't ask me, if i tell u it won't come true!

I went to someone's house today.

By saying house, i mean a place that one live in everyday- u know what i mean- a HOUSE lah

but...

This house has a LIFT! Serious, an elevator that actually goes up and down with a *tinggg* every floor.

Makes me think...what on earth is a lift doing in a house? Well, got money everything oso can i guess...

Not hard to imagine the size of the entire house after that

I packed my room today.

And yes, it's worth announcing... it's a feat that requires a day to complete and a lot of energy...

I'm aching all over now...

But my room is now so clean, i'm so proud

Now just have to rearrange stuff, redecorate...

Next week only-lah.

For now must concentrate on my new love life: Eldest- the inheritance

Book only-lah

Hm... 5th day of hakuna matata, still not really used to it.

10 things i've done since Dec 2:

10. Watched HP4...nothing great about it, it's just highlights from the book.

9. Packed away aalllll my books. now all i need is mr.hulk to carry the box, too heavy

8. Read HP6, finally... it's very sad

7. Sleep a lot

6. Laze around a lot

5. Messed up my room instead of packing it up, which means later i have to clean it

4. Talked to ppl whom i've lost touch with beause of SPM

3. Went shopping a looottt

2. Bought a new pair of boots

1. Aimee's open hse... sort of a semi class reunion

I've come to the conclusion that i've not acheived anything since last week...tsk tsk, wonder how this will last until.

Guess what?? SPM over!!! Well, technically not, since there's EST on Friday but Merdeka!!! Now can do anything without feeling guilty that my nose is not burried in a book, school book for that matter...

If i start something but i don't finish it, as a Chinese saying goes... i have 'no hand tail' rite... so here goes highlights of some of the things i did at camp...

A night at the Pedi village... now sleeping in one of these feels quite weird because it's round and it has a cone shaped ceiling, definitely not the typical Malaysian room

Canoeing with Kate... or at least attempting canoe until someone came and..."Gurls Overboard!!!"

Getting married... i know i look stupid but it's an important event! The other delegates called us Curry Prince and Curry Princess.........

Yes, that is a life cheetah and yes, i touched it... gave it two long nice strokes in fact. Now this is my favorite thing throughout the whole camp cause when i was really small, my secret wish was to meet a life cheetah. Crazy cool. Did i mention that Byron is now my new crush? hee hee

Now ain't that a really gorgeous chopper

Uh-oh gotta run for now... My things-to-do-after-SPM list calling me. Sayonara!

Day 3

Breakfast in silence, we were given a mini-wok, fire starter, firewood, eggs n bread with holes(??) Then it's lips sealed n start cooking!!!

My T-Game Group, Trust To tell The Truth... left: Rirh(Sth Sfrica), Carrie(HK), *me, Faizal (Pakistan) n Khanh(Vietnam).

Next on: THE RACE!!!

Our stretcher, made out of wood, jackets, a bag n shoelaces...

I know, i know... Day 2 took like a decade to come along...

SO we arrived at the Johannnesburg International Airport and went straight to the Indaba Hotel for an opening ceremony. Speeches... Brunch.... then ice-breaking games! Like little children we played some games, and got to know each other a lil bit more... so by now we are slightly better than total strangers. Got sorted into our groups... 10 ppl to a group and my group's name is Isexyhoney. Weird, but it's the last letter of everyone's name so i'm the I...

Another bus ride to the Kwa Nyathi Tented Camp, part of Entabeni Nature Reserve. We reached about 4 in the evening (can't remember it's M'sian time of South African time cause i didn't change the time on my watch =p) and met our Chief Officer, Hanneke van der Merve. Now this lady here, i really admire her. it's WINTER and while everyone is in their winter clothing, she goes sleeveless (Iron Lady) and, sadly to say, i think she's fitter than me... =p

After a (freaking cold)bath in an open air toilet (it's in the wilderness after all), it was Malaysia's turn to do the first Mapping Of The World (don't ask).

After dinner (now we're talking) was stargazing!!! I have never in my entire life seen so many stars!! It's like i was in space and time stopped. it was just me, and the stars. i could have stood there looking at the vast sky for hours but unfortunately my neck started aching... no choice but to retire thankfully to bed.

So that ends my first day at camp...

p.s. We had beds to sleep on!!!!!! I'll explain, (no) thanks to the past participants, you know who you are, Pei Ying and i were under the impression that we had to sleep in our sleeping bags. Frankly i wouldn't mind but i had secretly hoped that we had beds, so that's why i'm so happy =)
